As a nursing student, the motivation to survive this course is to believe in yourself, be consistent, be inspired, have determination, and set your goals before entering this path. When I began this degree, I was worried at first for I didn’t have what it takes to become a “good nurse” as I was very shy, doubted myself a million times, and I wasn’t sure if I can do well in the practice setting. Later did I realize that a good nurse is someone who has warmth towards oneself, acknowledges every effort made, and is happy upon choosing this journey. Remember, being in College is already a success on our part and you should be proud of reaching this far.

“Even the greatest were once beginners.”
Indeed, as a Centralian student nurse, I’ve started this course with a little knowledge of nursing. This course really requires commitment, dedication, and of course prayers which are very important, especially on challenging days. I came to a point in my life that I doubted myself especially when online classes have started due to some factors such as difficult nursing subjects, distractions, lack of access to technology, internet connectivity problems, learning gaps, time management between household chores, and school-related stuff but life doesn’t focus on those factors. Breakdowns, burnouts, stress, anxiety, and fatigue would be some parts of our vocabulary but surrender is not one. We may have flaws but it's not about being perfect, it's about the effort that no matter what, we just keep going in order to reap what we sow. Always remember that the important part is that you put your best foot forward every day and continue to believe in yourself and your own abilities that you will and you can!
