This guide shows you how to access and use all the online resources and databases the Library is offering, and how to make the most of them for your study and research needs.

Books and other library materials may be requested for scanning. Scanning service is FREE for enrolled students and faculty. To comply with copyright laws, we scan only up to 20% of the material. We do not encourage redistribution of scanned materials.
STEPS:
1. Check our Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) first if the book/s are available. Chat BERTHA for your request and we will scan the preliminary pages (title page, table of contents) and send it to you free of charge. Then, you may select the pages you want to be scanned.
2. If you have a scanning request, we require the following:
– ID Number and College
– A screenshot of your RF or mySOS account
– CPU E-mail address where we can send the scanned documents to you.
A customer feedback form will be sent to you. Answering this form is required before we send your
requested document.
For outside researchers
For outside researchers, there is a scanning fee of 10 pesos per page for books. For audio or video recordings, there the fee is 20 pesos per hour.

We accept payments through bank deposits via Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).

BAHÁNDÌAN is the institutional repository of the Central Philippine University for the management, dissemination, and preservation of digital materials that represent the scholarly work of the academic community and its affiliates and their faculty members and students.
BAHÁNDÌAN is a university repository providing access to the publication output of the Central Philippine University and its affiliates. Access is generally unrestricted, in compliance with the Open Archives Initiative (OAI) protocol for metadata harvesting, which makes such archives interoperable and cross-searchable.
BAHÁNDÌAN is a Hiligaynon term for a treasure chest (Uy-Griño, 2005). This institutional repository symbolizes a trove of valuable scholarly works of the institution. This digital repository is established to provide open, online access to the University's research and scholarship, to preserve these works for future generations, to promote new models of scholarly communication, and to help deepen community understanding of the value of higher education.

Electronic Sources
Electronic sources can be more complicated to cite than print sources because there is less standardization of the presentation of this information across the internet. Often the APA reference rules will ask for a piece of information that you can’t find on the website. Include as much information as you can while following these guidelines.
